No! Gel is not damaging to the natural nails as long as it is applied and removed properly. Extensive filing on your natural nail is not required prior to the gel application, which ensures that your nail does not become thin and weak. The Gel is removed by filing (not directly on your natural nail) and/or soaking off with acetone.

Yes! Rachel uses DND Gel and Luminary Gel Systems. Both brands are Leaping Bunny Certified, Vegan and 5-Free!

If Rachel applied your gel polish or Luminary gel, there is no additional charge and it is included in your manicure/pedicure service.
If you had your product applied at a different location, a removal fee will be added to your service.

No, unfortunately Rachel isn’t able to remove any powder product such as dip or acrylic due to specific ventilation requirements. These products will need to be removed from your nails prior to receiving a nail service with Rachel

No, Rachel uses a freestanding pedicure bowl instead of a jetted tub in order to provide optimal cleaning and disinfection between each service. Jetted tubs can trap bacteria and debris in their jets and pipes, potentially leading to unsanitary conditions and infections.

It depends on your personal preference and foot care needs, but most people get a pedicure every 4 to 6 weeks.

No. A licensed nail technician cannot remove an ingrown toenail, as this is considered a medical procedure and requires the expertise of a healthcare professional, like a podiatrist. While a nail technician can help with basic foot care (like trimming nails or providing general maintenance), they are not trained or authorized to treat medical conditions, including ingrown toenails.

No. Nail Fungus (onychomycosis) is highly contagious and can be spread easily. Even though Rachel is meticulous about cleaning and disinfection, she will not perform a pedicure service on nails with fungus to protect all other clients. While Rachel is not a physician and cannot officially diagnose you, she has been educated on the symptoms and has the right to determine if providing a pedicure service is safe or not.

Most common symptoms of nail fungus are discoloration of the nail (yellow, brown, green). Thick and brittle nails, misshapen nails and a bad smell. - If you are suspicious of nail fungus, see your doctor right away. The earlier you start treatment, the easier your recovery will be!
